Last week, our enthusiastic readers, Mia Mackay,
Layla Catto, Siena Browning, Luella Zocaro and Eloise Deen, travelled to St
Aidan’s Anglican Girls School in Corinda to compete in the Regional Reader’s
Cup. For several months leading up to the competition, the girls have been
reading and studying five different fiction texts and testing one another on
the events and characters from within the text. The girls worked extremely hard
and entered the competition well-prepared. Whilst there, they met Kate Temple,
author of one of the Reader’s Cup titles, ‘The Dangerous business of being
Trilby Moffat’, which was certainly a highlight for the girls. Congratulations
girls on a superb effort.
